Old Sturbridge Village Wedding

December 12th, 2011

Brittany and Brad were fortunate enough to have their November wedding at The Old Sturbridge Village *and* get lots of outdoor photos! With pretty themed lanterns, the historic Meetinghouse, horses and carriages as transportation, and fresh flower-filled pumpkin centerpieces, this was a memorable themed New England wedding! (Might I point out that I was in love with the blue shoes!) Oh, and check out the Nightmare Before Christmas wedding cake!

I loved Brittany’s response to seeing a sneak peek of her images: “yay thank you!!!!!! these are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The wedding was awesome thanks to our couple and also the talents of:

It’s in the Mix!

November 30th, 2011

I just made this slideshow for Weddingwire and loved seeing how many weddings we’ve photographed! I remember each one. I was just playing the slideshow and in each photo, I remembered every single wedding and can tell you all about each one! (yeah, my family must love this! haha!) I like recalling the details and the people we were able to work with!

Take a look at a “few” weddings we’ve photographed:

Thank you to all of our couples for taking the time to review us on Weddingwire!

It’s My Turn!

Wedding Photographers Ericson Candi

Most of our clients already know that YES, I snuck in my own wedding this Fall! :) Between all the beautiful Fall weddings, my fiance miraculously turned into my husband as we exchanges rings and vows in a very private ceremony out in the Berkshires. Our reception will follow for family next year. (Yes, a girl can have TWO celebrations… or more!) :)

At the sanctuary with our friend/officiant, with our kids Britty and Bryan, and us:

I am sharing this on our blog because many clients asked about how it went. It went perfectly! Also, I wanted to thank my awesome photographer… Steve Ericson! :) It was very strange to be on the other side of the camera for a wedding, but I can completely relate to our brides even more so now because of the experience. I can say that Steve made the posing very easy! Personally, I thought I’d feel uncomfortable being posed and thought I didn’t like it much. I also worried I’d look horrible in every photo! haha! Now, seeing the images, I cannot imagine not having “traditional” photos to remember our wedding day! We have looked through the images so many times and love them. Thank you Steve for all of your hard work and for making our day even better!!

Candi and her Maid of Honor, Britty! How many of us are lucky enough to have their only daughter as their Maid of Honor!

I love this photo of us! It sums us up quite well!

I’m sure I will have more to say on this experience, but for now I just wanted to share a bit here and thank Steve for all his hard work. I did miss seeing that awesome photojournalist and her many cameras that usually you team up with… ;) but this is one of the few instances that I was not shooting beside you. As much as I LOVE photojournalism, I can also see the value even more so now in the posed images. Besides, they made my mom do a happy cry. :) Success! Thank you!

Happy clients,
Candi & Jesse

Harrington Farm – Mollie and Ryan

A note from our couple via WeddingWire.com:

“We really enjoyed working with Ericson Photography. Steve and Candi were very helpful in planning the flow of our wedding and they were committed to giving us exceptional results. Our photos are absolutely exquisite. The prices seemed to be a bit higher compared with other photographers in the area, however, when we met with Steve and Candi, we were blown away by their past work. We hired them immediately without meeting with any other photographers, and we are extremely pleased with our choice!”

Mollie, it was our pleasure!!

It was great to be back at Harrington Farm for the wedding of Mollie and Ryan! With the updates at Harrington and a very sweet couple, we witnessed a beautiful wedding! Take a look!

Beginning at the house I love the “getting ready” start to the wedding day!

Thank you to Mollie and Ryan for being so sweet to be with and work with before, during and after your wedding day! We’re very lucky to have been part of your day and we are so happy that you enjoyed all your images! (Did you know we took that many?!) :)

Beechwood Hotel, MA

August 1st, 2011

Not only did we recently photograph a beautiful wedding at the Beechwood Hotel (coming soon to our blog!), but we also did some images of the Beechwood for samples so you could visualize your wedding there! We began outside on the patio where some couples have their cocktail hour:

Next, we headed downstairs to the ballroom and bridal suite. Often, we will do photos on these stairs and will show off that stained glass!
