I have to thank so many people for all of their talent and care in creating our perfect wedding day! We had our private ceremony last year, but this April we were happy to share a ceremony and reception with family and friends. We had a lot of fun planning the wedding and was amazed what a great job so many very talented people did for us!

I recently could not resist attending the Original Wedding Expo in Marlborough to gather ideas for my own reception as well as say hi to many of my good friends in the wedding industry! I loved seeing what is new with them and seeing it through a bride’s perspective. My husband and I already had the ceremony, but we walked around to look at ideas for the reception and he took some photos of me with my friends:

Alice from The Bean Counter Bakery is always up to something good! I enjoyed seeing her display cakes! I will have to stop by their Shrewsbury location for a vegan cupcake and a latte soon!

Aly from Sterling National is another friend and professional who will make sure your wedding day is all you hoped it would be and more!

Oh So Chic Designs is located in the same building our studio is in and I like being neighbors! Check out her print work in person and come say hi to me while you are there!

Laurie from The Beechwood Hotel was nice enough to get a photo with me! While we mostly photograph weddings there, she recently asked if we photograph Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and yes we do!

Gary from Arthur Murray dance is the most fun instructor! I had to have a little dance with him while I was at the expo!! Lots of our couples have choreographed dances, so go see Gary early and he’ll make it fun and easy!

Tamara! I hadn’t seen her in awhile so it was nice to catch up!! The Courtyard Marriott is right nearby our studio and we love photographing weddings AND brides getting ready there!

Reading the literature of The Publick House and seeing lots of our photos on display was very nice! We do photograph many weddings there in the tent and in Paige Hall. We love it there!

Jeff French… awesome guy and awesome flower arrangements! He’s located right in Worcester and his work is always stunning!

My Chocksett girls!!! Paula and Candace have been so great to work with all these years! We photograph quite a bit at the Chocksett Inn in Sterling and these ladies always make it perfect for the couple!

Molly of WeddingWire has been a voice on the end of the phone for years until this day! It was so nice to meet her in person and thank her for being part of such a great site where couples can rate their wedding professionals!

We have been settling in nicely to the new studio in Northborough! It has been great to meet so many new couples here already and also do some album designs for our friends who have already been married. I’ve enjoyed the visits from many wedding professionals already such as Michele from MPD Video Productions, Natalie from LadySlipper Designs, and Ron from AA Transportation. I look forward to more visits from many more of the top wedding pros in the area!!

In between unpacking and meeting with people, we have been invited to attend many wedding open houses and tasting from the facilities who recommend us. Our most recent stop was at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge MA, where the couples got to sample the food, meet with many top wedding pros and also get great ideas for their floral arrangements! All the table settings were, once again, done by the talented Natalie of Ladyslipper Floral Designs. (We love her work!) and the music was provided by the well-known DJ, Kevin Whitney! Here are some photos we got with our little “fit in the purse” camera!

Thank you to Brad and the staff at OSV for the invite and also for a great event! Thank you for asking us to decorate the beautiful bridal suite entrance with some of our wall prints from OSV weddings!! I look forward to all the OSV weddings we have coming up for 2012 and 2013!

Brittany and Brad were fortunate enough to have their November wedding at The Old Sturbridge Village *and* get lots of outdoor photos! With pretty themed lanterns, the historic Meetinghouse, horses and carriages as transportation, and fresh flower-filled pumpkin centerpieces, this was a memorable themed New England wedding! (Might I point out that I was in love with the blue shoes!) Oh, and check out the Nightmare Before Christmas wedding cake!

I loved Brittany’s response to seeing a sneak peek of her images: “yay thank you!!!!!! these are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Most of our clients already know that YES, I snuck in my own wedding this Fall! Between all the beautiful Fall weddings, my fiance miraculously turned into my husband as we exchanges rings and vows in a very private ceremony out in the Berkshires. Our reception will follow for family next year. (Yes, a girl can have TWO celebrations… or more!)

I am sharing this on our blog because many clients asked about how it went. It went perfectly! Also, I wanted to thank my awesome photographer… Steve Ericson! It was very strange to be on the other side of the camera for a wedding, but I can completely relate to our brides even more so now because of the experience. I can say that Steve made the posing very easy! Personally, I thought I’d feel uncomfortable being posed and thought I didn’t like it much. I also worried I’d look horrible in every photo! haha! Now, seeing the images, I cannot imagine not having “traditional” photos to remember our wedding day! We have looked through the images so many times and love them. Thank you Steve for all of your hard work and for making our day even better!!

I’m sure I will have more to say on this experience, but for now I just wanted to share a bit here and thank Steve for all his hard work. I did miss seeing that awesome photojournalist and her many cameras that usually you team up with… but this is one of the few instances that I was not shooting beside you. As much as I LOVE photojournalism, I can also see the value even more so now in the posed images. Besides, they made my mom do a happy cry. Success! Thank you!
